Whats Next Week 12

After finding the radically different market from what I currently I went out and found three people to interview on the questions below.

1. What should we be doing that we are not planning to do?
2. What about my ideas of what customers might want next that I do not already have?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8Xm_PggFQs&feature=youtu.be

*sorry the other video will not load so I will right the Q&A of the last interview.

1. I believe you should get into even more ways to get people around not just in a bus or a trolley. But a variety of things so people can pick and choose.

2. I think what your customers might want next would be security from you and your company that will benefit them in every way to their next destination.

What I learned about this new market is that the majority of people would like to have a set and stone date and time to get to places and not just a general number. And most of the interviewees said it was a great idea and they can see it working but they said to invest into more ways to get around such as trolleys, buses, golf carts to get around faster. What surprised me most was that they said most people want exact times and dates for all of their transportation. What surprised me the most was that all three of the interviews were fairly similar when I asked the questions. Most of them described the services being on time and having more service for the customers. I would have to say that none of my assumptions or predictions were correct. I thought that no matter the market I was in that everyone would like the new service just the way it was. I did not expect for these people to want just precise times for every destination. I guess when it comes to me not just doing major universities that the majority of people want time and dates for everything. I would say that this new market is not as attractive as my existing market. The reason being is because it would be more complicated for me to charge and people become very precise with everything. I am not saying I do not want my business to be precise but no transportation system can be on time all of the time.

  1. Hi Keith!

Deciding what's next is a huge challenge, but you seem to have a good grip on your future. Growing the business horizontally, by increasing the number of transportation methods that your company would be offering, sounds like a great plan. I hope the future market is still attracted to your business!

It was surprising to have all three interviews go in a similar direction.

  2. Hi Keith!

I thought your interviews were very good and you asked the right type of questions. I also thought your reflections were particularly strong which means you got the most out of your interviews, so great job there too. It is very interesting that all of your interviews seemed to agree about wanting a precise time schedule, so definitely a good tip moving forward to include that in you business concept.

Unfortunately, I did not complete this assignment, but here is a link to my blog if you’re interested in checking out other posts: http://michellekelleyuf.blogspot.it

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Keith,

It seems like you have a good handle on the needs of your customer base, which is great! You asked really important questions that will help identify how you can make your venture concept more efficient and successful. The interviews you did for this assignment will help you achieve both of these things. Check my blog out here: http://amyarnoldent3003.blogspot.com

  4. Hello Keith,
Growing a business can be difficult but with the help of your audience you will be able to mold your concept whatever way you choose too. I am very particular about my schedule as are executive and professionals. You should try to target a market where your prices would be higher and your service extraordinary well so that big firms can use your service for daily use. Great concept! definitely give it a try

  5. Keith,
I loved how you completed the assignment and produced a clear and concise blog post. As far as your content goes, great job! You truthfully identified what you thought about the second market and really expressed that it was not as appealing as the first; and this concerned you. This assignment was very interesting to me because it forced us to put our products and ideas into different markets. I thought overall it was an interesting idea. 6. Hi Keith!

I think you asked two really great questions in your interview. I think it’s awesome that you went out and got feedback from potential customers about what you’re not doing or not doing right. It’s always important to interact with customers. It gives them an opportunity for you to better refine your business concept. Overall, I think you have a lot of potential for this idea.

  7. Keith, great interview questions. I think you did a very good job overall. I did not complete this assignment. I was unable to get the required recordings due to fault of my own. All the best!

  8. Keith I like how you kept your interviews short, and only asked what you really wanted to know. I think for future reference try and clarify what your business concept is at the beginning because I was slightly confused as to what your concept was; sometimes people haven't read your other posts. I like how you realized that your new market may not be as attractive, but take into consideration they can boost you in the future. Great job overall and keep up the good work! feel free to check out my blog http://lovetravellives.blogspot.com/

  9. Good job on your work here. Your work shows that you want your idea to work and the fact that you took time to do a good job on the interviews also shows your dedication to success. I feel like you will be successful with your venture because you take time to do all of the assignments. My idea is different than yours but feel free to check out my blog: http://phatblogz.blogspot.com

    Great job,

    Ben

  10. Keith,

It's interesting to me as well that all of the people you interviewed felt generally the same way.
I know it can be difficult to try to think of a new market when the original marketing seems so promising so I definitely see where you're coming from. I really liked the questions that you asked and it seems like your idea would be very successful!

  11. This is a great idea, Keith! I totally agree with the people you interviewed in saying that we want specific times for things. Nobody likes to be given a general time because then you are just going to be late. Exact times make things easier and make you better at being punctual and not miss your ride. This is a great idea and perfect for a college campus. You can spread this all over the U.S. I am sure that all college students would participate. Thanks for sharing!
